As we have discussed here many times, one of the major differences between Judaism and Christianity.

This being "contro", I'll posit that it's as much a moral and practical issue as a theological one.

A terrorist attack was carried out yesterday at a Menorah lighting in Bondi Beach, Australia. At this point 15 victims are dead, including the rabbi who was officiating. There are 27 victims hospitalized in various states of health. Two police officers were also shot. The shooters were two Muslims who were somehow able to amass several rifles in spite of Australia's strict gun laws. 

I'm sick and tired of Jews being attacked on Jewish holidays. I don't want sympathy or well wishes. I want righteous anger against the people and movement who keep carrying this out.

I'm sick and tired of Jews being attacked on Jewish holidays. I don't want sympathy or well wishes. I want righteous anger against the people and movement who keep carrying this out.

Government around the world have had actual operational knowledge that radicalized Islamists have carried out murderous attacks on Jewish populations for centuries simply because of hatred of Jewish people.  The UK has fallen to radical Islamists. 

While I am by no means calling for a Minority Report version of pre-crime, the issue is clearly one of lack of assimilation.  There are very few “home grown” domestic radicalized Islamists terrorists in a country.  Almost all are imports.

Western countries need to simply revoke permissions for non citizens to be in country.  No, no one has a right to live in any country other than the land they were born in.  Living in the sovereign territory of another country is a privilege earned, not a right granted.

It is time for the madness to stop, and for those promoting such to find out that no, you cannot scream “fire” in a crowded theater.

Maybe a return to the original Purim is in order.

Unfortunately this is not going to happen. The Australian government's rection to this massacre is to promise even more strict gun laws. As if it's the guns and not the people who are the problem.

So far as Europe is concerned, someone observed that post-Holocaust, antisemitism became socially unacceptable. So the European governments instead imported people who could hate Jews for them, while the native Europeans tut tutted about Israel causing this all. And I think there's really something to that.

Maybe a return to the original Purim is in order.

A modern version would end with lots of Jews being locked up. The government won't protect you and you aren't allowed to protect yourself.

A video of the shooting is available online. One of the most striking things is that the sound of sirens runs for almost 10 minutes, yet the police never seem to arrive.

Now, it appears to have become the policy of many LEO departments around the globe, especially if the victim of the crime is somewhere on the descending order of those deemed worthy of protection.

Our training for dealing with an active shooter situation changed from when I came on the job in the mid 90s. It was historically treated as a hostage situation: The NYPD protocol originally was to box the shooter in and keep them from leaving the scene, while giving the ESU cops with their heavier weapons time to arrive and engage the shooter on more advantageous terms. At a certain point those guidelines became untenable, because it became apparent that every second you didn't engage the shooter, people would die. So the guidelines were changed. The new protocol was that you and your partner who were responding to work it out amongst yourselves which one of you would present yourself as a target so that the other responding cop would get a better opportunity to take down the shooter. Imagine having that conversation with your coworker while responding to an ongoing mass casualty event.

I don't know what the protocol is in Australia, but it bears similarity to the catastrophe that happened in Uvalde Texas, where nobody engaged the shooter and allowed them to run amok killing unarmed victims at will.

I'm sickened by this latest cowardly attack, which targeted not only Jews, but Judaism as well. Islam is the only religious institution I know of that believes murder glorifies its god. Radical Muslims kill not only "infidels," but other Muslims they disagree with--including the "honor killing" of family members. Honorable engagement on the battlefield is dispensed with in favor of targeting defenseless victims, including women and children.

I can only offer compassionate empathy and moral support in the aftermath of such senseless mayhem and mounting persecution, but my heart goes out to the family and friends of the recent victims. It's little consolation in the present, but we can know with certainty that our God will ultimately comfort His faithful who now suffer violence and bloodshed, and will summarily execute judgment on those who hate both Him and those who belong to Him.

If clothing allows? I have an M&P 9mm with a 17-round magazine and pretty much any clothing except really lightweight summer clothes are fine for concealing it. Even in the summertime it's not hard to conceal it, I just need to wear looser tops. Sometimes my wife and I have been out all day and she didn't notice I was carrying it.

I almost never wear shirts “untucked” so unless I’m wearing a jacket there’s not much concealment…

I used to have a holster that fit around my waist inside my pants that worked very well for concealed with tucked in shirts.
