How does anyone even know if a word is "unique"?

The Hebrew root N-Sh-K occurs numerous times in the bible, and from the context it can mean "embrace", or "arm one's self" or "choice" (as in "the best".)  (As a result, in modern Hebrew the word "Neshek" means a gun, but the word "Neshikah" means a kiss.)

Does that count as one word, or three?

I am sure there are equally interesting cases involving the Greek in the NT.

What do you mean by "canon"? Is it more canon or less canon than the original Hebrew and Greek versions? What about the mistranslations? Are they canon too? Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the poetic flow of the KJV, but as a translation it's only average at best.
