House wise today was a rest day. I had planned to put another coat of paint on a wall but just didn't quite get that far. The sum total of my achievements on the house project were setting a couple of switches in place where they are going to go in (I need to kill the light circuits to fit them, so that can wait until it's light out), and twiddling a screw in an adjustable back box to bring it forward so it's flush with the drywall.

Tomorrow perhaps I can make some more useful progress on stuff.

Note: I'm actually a little surprised but proud of the American electorate's determination to "by the people" in the end.

Some paint touchups done, and the extra sockets installed and tested in one of the spaces under construction. Next up are some light fittings.

I finally got to the electrical work I'd been stalling for a while. It's not difficult, it's just that it requires shutting off both upstairs and downstairs lighting circuits, which isn't great because my wife likes to be able to see.

Today my wife was out, so I could shut off whatever I wanted, and I got some lights and switches installed. Now I can turn my attention to the next room that needs the new walls wiped, the walls and ceiling painted, electrics fitted, and then the floor sanded and lacquered.

My wife and I decided on the color scheme for the next room in line. It's drywalled but currently unfinished beyond that. So I went to get the paint and now have a freshly painted ceiling in there.

I ran out of light or I'd have done the walls too. That can wait until tomorrow. Then I need to figure out what to do with the radiators so I can sand and finish the floor. I've got an idea where I might put them (no comments on that please!) but at present I'm not sure how to get them there.

The "Fenty Fold" is a startling condition exhibited by chronic users of fentanyl where they remain standing in one place, usually a sidewalk, stooped over completely, head near their toes, while in the throes of the drug.

This can go on for hours while the user often clutches bags & belongings and freezes like a statue.

A tragic thing to witness, reseachers are still not sure what mechanism causes the "stoop," which is a painful lock.

My nephew's wife just gave birth but there are some issues with the newborn's lungs so she is in ICU. Clearly serious and seems common to premature babies, but she was not really premature as far as I know.

Lungs are about the last organ to fully develop in utero…

More painting, I got a first coat on the walls. It's easier painting a darker color because it's easier to see if I missed a bit, although now it's started to dry I'm going to need another coat because it's visibly a bit patchy in places and the color of the drywall still shows through.

Maybe tomorrow I can put a second coat on, and then think about wiring the ceiling fan. Once the walls are dry I can get the power sockets connected.
