I feel like I'm missing something here.

I guess dude wants to position himself (herself?) as the victim of persecution, being non-trin, which I guess has resulted in him/her/them/etc. being called cultish, heretical, etc.

Incidentally, this means they've pre-judged everyone here and is probably projecting hard.
