Let us be reminded of the words of the Apostle Paul, who exhorted us to strive towards those things which edify each other and aim for peace. That we as Christ's body would work together to reveal the profound truths of God's word, and to bring inner peace with an eye towards eternal salvation.
Romans 14:19
King James Version
19 Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.

You seem to be the only one pushing a cultic agenda, which none of us are really interested in.
So I would expect doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different conversation is well, you know.
-
I rewrote the OP so that it isn't a Romans 14 proof text.

Thanks my friend, that works for me...

Yes. Edification begins with sound doctrine, which begins with a rightful dividing, which clearly means a contextual rendering of the Word.
A massive blitzkrieg of scripture verses in support of some fixation is neither edifying nor contextual.

Yes, but if we are not using 'sola scriptura' and just philosophy or 'oh vey', is that 'edifying' or 'contextual'. And dont you all hold that to that Gods Word is truth that brings us to what He desires.

The key is “rightly dividing.”
Scripture projectile vomit of every instance of the use of a word one finds in Strongs is as useless as horns on a brass goat.
-
What would you suggest we use, the Torah or Qur'an...? Gods Word is given to edify and guide believers, take that out and all you have is philosophy of man to say nothing of confusion....

Whose doctrine, the RCC, Calvinism, Lutheran...? All have issues, Gods Word is true and by studying it we grasp them instead of relying on man and his traditions...

You already use the Torah. But what does this have to say with what RK shared?

I know that 'sola scriptura' is a concept, but simply reading the text cannot be sufficient. One has to apply logic and mental tools to make full sense of what the text is telling us. It was Luther's genius that he was willing to do this separate from the corruption of the Catholic church.
And dont you all hold that to that Gods Word is truth that brings us to what He desires.
No. God's word is there to give us a choice. Deuteronomy 30:
Now what I am commanding you today is not too difficult for you or beyond your reach. It is not up in heaven, so that you have to ask, “Who will ascend into heaven to get it and proclaim it to us so we may obey it?” Nor is it beyond the sea, so that you have to ask, “Who will cross the sea to get it and proclaim it to us so we may obey it?” No, the word is very near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart so you may obey it.
See, I set before you today life and prosperity, death and destruction. For I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, and to keep his commands, decrees and laws; then you will live and increase, and the Lord your God will bless you in the land you are entering to possess.
But if your heart turns away and you are not obedient, and if you are drawn away to bow down to other gods and worship them, I declare to you this day that you will certainly be destroyed. You will not live long in the land you are crossing the Jordan to enter and possess.
This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the Lord is your life, and he will give you many years in the land he swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

This is a Bible forum. You are apparently unable or unwilling to advance your Adventist views through the Bible.

For example, he won't explain how he keeps the Sabbath, although I have asked him numerous times.

Some are self evident, and others can be seen by the accompanying text which give context, and others put side by side give clear understanding. But when you put preconceived ideas and ignore the text, you can see the problem. We can go text by text as you like or those which clearly belong together, whichever mode you like and go from there, and see what we find, if that is satisfactory..

Who has ignored the text? Has anyone here ignored the text?

By “ignore the text,” he means “fail to agree with his SDA indictrinational screed.”
-
So. Per the OP, If one is following a false prophet and holding to legalism and making Jesus the Archangel Michael, edification is not the issue.
To claim affinity with the Bible that one does not know how to read and understand is to twist the truth.
Very few believers consider the SDA to be in the realm of orthodoxy.
Be advised!

Romans 14:19
King James Version
19 Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.
Malachi 2: "Do we not all have one Father? Did not one God create us? "
Psalm 34: Who is the man who delights in life, who desires to see good days? Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from deceitful speech. Turn away from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.

The cited "Text" is a diversion from the doctrinal statements of previous threads and does not address them..
Now ignoring. Back to travels.

Well lets start with 1 Peter 4:17 and see if we are allowed to see what the text tells us.

To whom was Peter’s epistle written and from the text of the epistle, why?
