Did I know him?  My brother Andrew introduced me to him.  And the minute he saw me he changed my name.  He said, "You are Simon the son of John; you shall be called Cephas (which is translated Peter)."  When he came to where my brother and I were mending our nets by The Sea of Galilee and called us to follow him we dropped everything and followed.  The 12 of us traveled with him for 3 years.  For 3 years we lived with him, traveled with him, listened as he taught, and watched as he performed miracles.  We watched as he changed water into wine.  Healed the sick.  Cast out demons. Fed multitudes.  We thought it was all over when they crucified him.  We were devastated.  But when, 3 days later, he rose from the dead.  That changed everything.  He even forgave me for denying him.  He changed my life and I will NEVER be the same.
