Adam and Eve: A scientific perusal

Does science point to the special creation of Adam and Eve by God? Evolutionists often say that Creationism is not scientific. They claim man is descended from members of the ape family over a hundred thousand years ago (Jeanson & Tomkins, 2018). However, some evidence sheds doubt upon their assertions. For instance, some fossils extend through multiple rock layers—layers that are supposed to have been formed over many years (Mortenson, 2019). What happens to trees or animals when they die today? They decay or are eaten. The fossils must have been formed quickly, not over thousands of years.

The second law of thermodynamics is also a problem for evolution. The law indicates that the universe tends to move toward disorder and impracticality, not advancement. Useful energy is constantly being lost. Thus, nature could not have created life as we know it today. Mutations display the principle of dysfunctionality since they typically harm instead of help (cancer, etc.).

Additionally, evolutionists have attempted to predict the genetic difference between humans and members of the ape family based on current mutation data (Jeanson & Tomkins, 2018). Their philosophy led them to predict a 1-3% difference in DNA (Jeanson & Tomkins). However, humans and apes have around a 12% difference in DNA (Jeanson & Tomkins).

Today, even though there seem to be great physical differences between the people of the world, we see an average of only 0.1% genetic variation (Jeanson & Tomkins). This little variation does not accommodate the estimated evolutionary date of human origin (Jeanson & Tomkins). The relative lack of variety also hints that one original pair of humans are our ancestors. Moreover, a number of genes appear in two forms (Mitchell, 2013). Two original parents could account for this occurrence (Jeanson & Tomkins).

The biblical creationist view of the world seems to be the more logical of the two beliefs. After examining the evidence, it seems that we may accept special creation as a reasonable explanation of our origin. Creationism effectively explains the fossil record, deals with supposed scientific conflicts, and is supported by genetic data. We have seen that the lack of human DNA variation and the presence of dual forms of genes points to one set of parents for humanity. This view states that Adam and Eve were created by God in one literal day. They were the only humans present, had no earthly ancestors, and are the parents of all mankind. In this narrative, we see the origins of all man clearly—and it certainly sounds special!

I think the point of creation was for humans to come to the earth and exercise our free will. Hopefully making the right choices and so earning the right to bask in the divine glory. But in order for us to have true free will, we have to logically be able to come to any conclusion about God, including the possibility that God doesn't exist at all. Only is such an environment can we our decisions truly be made of free will and so truly earn our place in God's prescence.

This is all just AiG nonsense. All their stuff has been thoroughly debunked or demonstrated to be cherry-picked.

The organization is not interested in science anyway. They are culture war propogandists that are willing to make up anything to support their conclusion in the name of preserving their narrow view of "Biblical authority". They routinely contradict themselves because every explanation is ad hoc that does not consider their other positions.

There are better creationists out there like Dr. Todd Wood. Heck, there is a university student on Youtube who is a creationist but is better informed and far more honest about the science than anyone at AiG.
