Your most embarressing moment in life?

A long long time time ago I was with wife and kids at Madame Tussauds in Amsterdam. At some moment I said to my wife, look at this one, it's so real. And the statue said : indeed, I am very real.

I mean, mine are all dysphoria related and I don't think I've yet come across the most embarrassing thing.

Once, just making conversation, I asked an apparently very pregnant woman when her baby was due. Her brusque reply was, "what baby?"  :-[ Ouch. If they'd had Bluetooth then, I'd have pretended I was talking to someone on the phone.
