Rubbish arguments for things you agree with

What examples can you give of arguments you completely disagree with, even though the actual conclusion is a position you do agree with?

I am not restricting this to matters theological.

I'm not asking for opinions you disagree with. I'm asking for lines of argument you disagree with which are used in defence of something you agree with.

Yankees still suck.

That being said, I think most of us -- whether consciously or not -- disagree with (unless we use them ourselves) use of the traditional fallacies, that is, pathetic, ethical, or logical fallacies.
