Hello,
I myself am a college student, and for a while now I have been wanting to get a bit more religious but have not been able to find a good church to call home or find a way to get started. My newly found significant other is very Christian, and as of tonight I suggested that we do some sort of readings and discussion together of the Bible. Our limitations are that we are a few states away from each other, I have not taken my faith too seriously in the past and am almost starting anew, and she is relatively busy. The current plan is for me to read Genesis 1:1 tonight (she is already asleep), but that is about it. With our limitations, I am just trying to get suggestions on how we should make this work, a general idea of what order to read the Bible, etc, given our limitations.

I really do want to learn the words of the Bible as well as have our studies help keep us together (I really do believe she is the one God intended for me to meet and go super far with and I really want to keep us together). Hopefully trying not to sound like too much of a romantic, but any suggestions or help is really appreciated! Thank you!

Hi Hunter,

This sounds like something to discuss further with your significant other. There are plenty of online bible reading resources that you might find helpful, for example https://www.biblegateway.com/reading-plans/?version=NIV. From there, it's just a matter of actually keeping to what you've committed to in terms of the reading, follow-up, discussion, and so on.

That's all that's required for "making it work". As for order, discuss the books you want to read beforehand and go from there. Genesis is never a bad start, although it'll take forever to read if you're only reading one verse a day. ;)
Life is not a problem to be solved, but a reality to be experienced.
