Of course God knew his Son would be murdered, but this is not what he wanted.
Hi, I'm just your local resident non-Christian, and I have a question. Wasn't the whole point of Jesus's death that he was the "perfect sacrifice" that needed to die for the sins of mankind? Isn't that exactly what God wanted? Or have I misunderstood Christianity?

Serious question... are you Jesus only and reject the writings of Paul and the epistles?
If you're addressing me, I don't know what you mean by, "Jesus only and reject the writings of Paul and the epistles". The Messiah and the Apostles and the Prophets all taught the same things.

You've misunderstood Gods mercy, demonstrated by the Messiahs sacrifice.

I think you have it exactly right.
Danger, Will Robinson.  You will be assimilated, confiscated, folded, mutilated, and spindled. Do not pass go.  Turn right on red. Third star to the right and full speed 'til morning.
