Context, I wrote this in February UPDATE
My wife responds very well to the immune therapy, the cancer even has shrunk after only 3 sessions which is a statistical exception. End of next month she will have her second scan and the doctors expect an even better result. Up to the point they might decide to stop the therapy but keep her under surveillance.
God is good.
Thank you for your prayers..........
UPDATEMy wife is extreme. immune therapy has stopped in August because she responded so well with hardly any side effects from the very long list of immune therapy. The doctors marveled : this is why we doing it for and more of such. Her cut-off toe is making a tour through the universities of the USA, a melanoma in a toe is extremely rare. So far so good. Last week starting Tuesday, she started to feel extremely tired, it got worse the next day, explanation : side effects from the immune therapy, a known one and not unusual, relax is the message. Thursday morning, while she was doing reasonable considering the last 2 days her condition went down extremely fast. We called Amsterdam, explained the symptoms and they said drive as fast as you can and so we did. Within a few hours they already found the trouble make, her pancreas stopped working, immune therapy attacked and ruined her pancreas. Meaning a shortage (actually a total absence) of insulin. They moved her to the IC and started a treatment. Just in time, one day later it was not impossible I would have been a widower. She is no longer on the IC, insulin treatment works, she sound upbeat and positive again, but now the doctors have to figure out the right dose because they never had such a case before, they estimated a chance of 1:1000 and probably more and thus a bit unknown territory, but these folks are the best in the country, the only treat cancer and are listed at place 7 of the best hospitals in the world. They treat hundreds of patients a day. We are so happy (and thankful to the Lord) this hospital came on our path only because our local hospital made mistake on mistake in the beginning and even lied to us. As for the statistics, a melanoma in a toe is extremely rare, the chance immune therapy ruins a pancreas is said 1:1000, yep my wife is extreme and I extremely miss her. Hopefully she comes home this week, doctors won't let her go before they are absolutely sure.

Yes, I am struggling with resentment towards them and my husband. Or I am not sure if is distrust that I am struggling with cause of an unresolved issues and an inability to have freedom to talk of issues.I am trying to lay bitterness and resentment down.
Hi, I am going to repeat what Athanasius said to you - Honestly, the behaviour is not going to change. That you're even at this point, where you're asking strangers on the internet and with no support around you (husband?), is this harsh reality: it's time to move on to a church that isn't going to abuse you and cause you to despise your husband and Christ.Release yourself from the pain. Find yourself a new (normal) Church, in time your husband might follow you.

Makes me wonder if Netanyahu finally gets the excuse he always wanted, destroy the nuclear facilities of Iran.
One of the things Trump did well, get out of that nuclear deal with Iran.

Today, Saturday September 28 2024 it's exactly 50 years ago (also on a Saturday) the Lord picked up the pieces of what was left from me and made me whole, more precisely a new creation and that in an instance. The most important happening in my life. And in an instance I knew that God existed, He was full of love and He was Holy.
I am so thankful for that grace I received, the impression it made on me has safeguarded me all those years against all the attacks on my faith.
Thank you Lord.

Efez 2:4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, Efez 2:5 even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ— by grace you have been saved— Efez 2:6 and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,
Is a part of us already in the heavenly places?

The cliche “in Jesus’ name” has been the foolish Christian cultural equivalent of “abracadabra.”
The phrase “in Jesus’name” means “ by the authority of the person of Jesus.”
So 99% percent of prayers fall flat because Jesus is not in support of the foolish request
See James 1
Exactly what I meant in the OP, asking something in the name of Jesus as stipulated by the Lord in John 14-16 supernatural power is transferred to the person who is speaking. As far as I know the first example is found in Acts 3 - Hand 3:6 But Peter said, “I have no silver and gold, but what I do have I give to you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk!” Hand 3:7 And he took him by the right hand and raised him up, and immediately his feet and ankles were made strong. Hand 3:8 And leaping up he stood and began to walk, and entered the temple with them, walking and leaping and praising God. Whatever is asked in the name of Jesus means is granted from above and what is asked happens.

Context, the Lord is speaking to the twelve whom He has chosen, not me.
I'll begin with your first scriptures. John 14:13, the words, "in," "my (or "the")," "name."
in1722 en (a preposition) – properly, in (inside, within); (figuratively) "in the realm (sphere) of," as in the condition (state) in which something operates from the inside (within).
the the definite article.
name 3686 ónoma – name; (figuratively) the manifestation or revelation of someone's character, i.e. as distinguishing them from all others. Thus "praying in the name of Christ" means to pray as directed (authorized) by Him, bringing revelation that flows out of being in His presence. "Praying in Jesus' name" therefore is not a "religious formula" just to end prayers (or get what we want)!
["According to Hebrew notions, a name is inseparable from the person to whom it belongs, i.e. it is something of his essence. Therefore, in the case of the God, it is specially sacred" (Souter).]
Helps Word Studies: Copyright © 2021 by Discovery Bible. Do you consider that to pray "in my (or the) name, is a command to the Apostles? If so, do you also consider Jesus giving the Great Commission to the Apostles is "only" for them as well? I ask because a key concerning the Great Commission is that the Apostles are to disciple/teach Christians in,
Matthew 28:20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
The Great Commission is about doing what Jesus said, ASKING something in the name of Jesus I think is a different subject, Jesus even said anything you ask and I will do it. In the OP I put a confused smiley, meaning I am not sure. I actually don't know how many times I mindlessly (because many did) ended my prayers with "In Jesus name, Amen", but now the subject has my attention.

In Jesus name, Amen. I hear that a lot since I am going to Church again, it's something that is so automatic. And instinctively I avoid that, it's like speaking on behalf of Jesus using His authority, who am I to do that? But I never studied the Scriptures, I will give it a try now. John chapters 14-16, the crucial verses. Context, the Lord is speaking to the twelve whom He has chosen, not me. Joh 14:13 Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. Joh 14:14 If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it. Joh 15:16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you.Joh 16:23 In that day you will ask nothing of me. Truly, truly, I say to you, whatever you ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Joh 16:24 Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full. Joh 16:26 In that day you will ask in my name, and I do not say to you that I will ask the Father on your behalf;Joh 16:27 for the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me and have believed that I came from God. Meaning that a more precise prayer would be : we ask you this Father in the name of Jesus, Amen. And following 15:16 the word may suggest it's still up to the Father to judge the prayer.

Maybe I misunderstood what you are doing, I assumed C++ programming but after rereading I noticed the word SQL which implies PHP programming? And if so can you not delete the local file immediately after it did what it is supposed to do?
Google - javascript delete file php delete file

A trick I used in the past, since folks tend to copy instead of buying, is to store crucial information (as copy protection) as a .dll in the Windows/system32 folder, encrypting the c:/Windows/system32 path and filename.dll in the code also. Everything can be hacked but it worked fine.

where in all the bible do people say "we chose to believe. we chose Christ!" Jesus said you did not choose Me but I chose you. That was about choosing the 12 [!]
Context bro.
So when you read John 14. none of that applies to you but only to the apostles ... that what you's saying?
In John 15 (like in chapter 14) Jesus is teaching the twelve -
Context -
Joh 15:7 If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. Joh 15:8 By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples.
Joh 15:15 No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you. Joh 15:16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you.
Joh 15:19 If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.
So yes, Jesus refers to His calling the twelve.
Nothing to do with our free will discussion.
If it had nothing to do with freewill why did you quote it?
Because YOU made it an argument for your doctrine there is no free will.
And you were wrong.
Abide in Me and let My words abide in you, only for the 12 eh?
From which of what I said do you conclude that I think or believe that???
Please don't do this kind of rhetoric, it's insulting.
When you say "you have not chosen Me but I have chosen you" to apply to only the 12 yeh I find that fair game for an insult.
You are impossible. But an impossible brother in Christ. Shalom.
