I remember a post by teddyv a number years back. He mentioned that the statement by TV evangelists and such that earthquakes are getting more power and frequent now is false. He had a link to data that proved them wrong. @teddyv, do you still have access to that data?
Thanks!

Hi Shep,
You are taking me back now!
Anyway, I don't have the data immediately at my fingertips. It came from the US Geological Survey and if memory serves was something like "ANSS" which was a downloadable file of all records. That's going back a few years so things may have changed.

From Google:
According to data from the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), long-term seismic rates remain stable. The planet averages about 16 major earthquakes (magnitude 7.0 or higher) each year. While annual totals fluctuate naturally from year to year, there is no long-term upward trend

Peripherally connected, Judaism makes much less of miracles than Christianity does. As per Deuteronomy 13, even a false prophet can bring miracles.

... something many in the Christian church would do well to remember

"And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. V6
7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
8 All these are the beginning of sorrrows."
And the text states clearly that none of these events, on their own, mark the end. They should not be taught as such.
The church age is filled to the brim with these things and the so-called "increase" in their regularity is not in the text.
Much of Mt 24 concerns 70 AD but looks to the end of time as man knows it.
