Title: Concealing the truth
Post by: Zachary on July 26, 2026, 10:33:06 AM
for our own good.
Why did Jesus speak in parables?
Did the Lord conceal the truth in the garden of Eden?

Why not? And no, the creation narrative is anything but concealed.

Thanks for the reply,

Mark 9:30
And they departed thence, and passed through Galilee; and he would not that any man should know it.
Mark 4:12
That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.

Jesus said take his yolk, it is light.
Matthew 11
28Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Time also. For there are times which come and go, and if the time is not right then the wait is there.
Mark 11:13
And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet.

We know of the Tree of Life, because it is revealed by the bible. Yet there was not a mention of it to Adam recorded. And the Lord did not say to Adam do not eat the tree of knowledge because it will make you like me.

That we don't have to know everything and sometimes are challenged in that way. Perhaps to see what grace we hold. Or for other reasons.

Also, its dull here. Some movement. Is it not better.
Thanks for the reply.

It’s dull because people post stupid questions and comments

Perhaps, all four people. If there were any comments worthwhile in the first place, you don't seem to notice. Short stop.

If you find this place dull, the "Logout" button is up there at the top.

Only that I cannot reply to most posts only 3 down, since it would be a "necro" post. I just got back here. Didn't mean to hurt your feelings if that was the case. But besides the odd ball comments I haven't found many new posts, thats all.

Now this is locked, isn't that fun? Don't remake the thread.
