Title: Hi Im new here
Post by: DaisyMae on December 22, 2025, 10:12:01 PM
I have been a Christian for a few years but I am wanting to dig deeper in my bible studies this upcoming year.  I recently bought the one Year Bible and plan on going through it starting January 1st.  I would love for anyone else to join in this study that would like to.  It appears that it will be two chapters from the OT and one from the NT and proverbs and psalms.  I would just like a place to ask questions to get a better understanding and some accountability.

Also does anyone know any good bible studies that would ask simple questions for each chapter and book of the bible.  I have looked for one but most ask a lot of in depth questions.  I just want simple read the scripture and answer the questions coming from the scripture.

Hello DaisyMae, and welcome to the board!

I'm not familiar with the One Year Bible but others here may be. I tend to pick a book and work my own way through it, looking at study notes and commentaries to see how things link together.

Does your church have Bible study groups? Sometimes it's good to get together with a group of believers and discuss things. Study guides are good things but a group of others can offer support as well as a range of thoughts on how we might apply Scripture to our daily lives.

Hi DaisyMae. Usually I simply open the Word at one point or another and study from there. Welcome to the forum. Merry Christmas by the way.
