Title: The Curious Case of Natalia Grace
Post by: ProDeo on November 07, 2023, 03:30:11 PM
I have been watching the 6 episode documentation - The Curious Case of Natalia Grace.

The evil that people can do to a six year old child and get away with it due to a failing juridical system.

A review.

I watched the series yesterday. I don't understand why evidence of her true age was not admissible in court. If she was born in 1989 instead of 2003-- as documented by the hospital record--her mother would have been 9 years old when she gave birth to her. It's insane that a judge could arbitrarily add 14 years to a child's age when official records proved her birth date. If the jurors had known the girl was 9 instead of 23 when abandoned in Lafayette, Kristine and Michael would have been convicted, instead of getting off Scott free. What a travesty.

I watched the series yesterday. I don't understand why evidence of her true age was not admissible in court. If she was born in 1989 instead of 2003-- as documented by the hospital record--her mother would have been 9 years old when she gave birth to her, since Natalia was the second child. It's insane that a judge could arbitrarily add 14 years to a child's age when official records proved her birth date. If the jurors had known the girl was 9 instead of 23 when abandoned in Lafayette, Kristine and Michael would have been convicted, instead of getting off Scott free. What a travesty.

Exactly that.
