Person A and Person B attend a meeting of Charismatic Christians.
Person C and Person D attend a meeting of Hindus.
All experience the same phenomena:
They feel their chair get unexpectedly hot.
They feel a sensation that is a bit like an electric shock but without the pain.
They fall over as if slain, without anyone touching them.
They see a person on a stage who has been told that they have one leg shorter than the other and whose 'short' leg seems to grow in front of their eyes.
Someone they have never met knows their name.
Person A concludes, on the basis of these phenomena, that Christianity is true and converts to Christianity.
Person B recognises all of these as standard-issue conjuring tricks that have been practised since at least the nineteen twenties, and remains unconvinced of the truth claims of Christianity.
Person C concludes, on the basis of these phenomena, that Hinduism is true and converts to Hinduism.
Person D recognises all of these as standard-issue conjuring tricks that have been practised since at least the nineteen twenties, and remains unconvinced of the truth claims of Hinduism.
Which, if any, of these people do you believe has done the right thing?

Anyone responding is a fool

What would any of this have to do with truth claims? No one did the "right thing".

This happened to me yesterday. I thought my wife had poisoned me, but then I realized I just had too much Shabbos wine. I felt better after a nap.
