An elderly acquaintance, invited for dinner at a couple's house, was sitting in the living room with their 7 year-old son, as he colored in his coloring book. Making conversation, he asked the boy what they were having for dinner.
The boy looked thoughtful for a moment, before answering, "Um, goat, I think."
"Goat? replied the old guy, "are you sure about that?"
"Well," said the boy, "this morning, I heard dad tell mom, "'we might as well have the old goat for dinner today, and get it over with.'"
