It is doomed to HELLFIRE!

Nah, websites don't go to HELLFIRE.
They go to Microsoft, where there shall be weeping and gnashing of bytes.

If you want to start a support group, I'm apparently the literal mouthpiece of the literal Satan.

Don't worry, we know how to rip 'n tear.

It is doomed to HELLFIRE!
Unfortunately, all Christian Discussion Forums are becoming desolate of True Believers.

Except us.
WE, of course, are the only TRUE BELIEVERS left standing...

It's true. I mean, people these days take one look at me, and they think, "that's a true believer right there". "By the grace of God", I tell them, but it can be surreal. I mean, you think of any 1st to 4th-century church figure, and I'm right up there, correcting Tertullian, telling Justyn to smarten up, trolling Athanasius, having a bit of fun with Gregory. It's a spectacle.

Thanks for making my point - under two of your User Names.
Your site was fulla crickets when I arrived and you're already busy working on running me off.
Hmmm .... go figure.

Oh, we aren't trying to run you off. You just have to be responsible with the claims you make, and of course, "true believers" tends to be one of those irresponsible claims, just like "counterfeit" translations. It usually means "people who believe as I do". Sometimes, with a healthy dose of KJVO.
But I can assure you RK is not me, and I am not him. I'm barely myself at the best of times, but as you said, since you're being active, you're getting activity. Do you want to discuss or simply state things unchallenged?

Pretty heavy on the "challenging." How 'bout a little less attitudinal challenging and some (friendly?) discussion?

Uh-huh... after bumping the 'doomed to hellfire' thread... alright.

That's a curious observation Titus, but thank you for sharing. What do you mean that all Christian discussion forums are becoming desolate of true believers?

Not sure which thread you're referring to.Unfortunately, all Christian Discussion Forums are becoming desolate of True Believers.
What do you mean that all Christian discussion forums are becoming desolate of true believers?
I'm referring to 1 Tim. 4:1 and 2 Tim. 4:3 and Hosea 4:6 and 2 Peter 2:10, etc.
I'm referring to all modern mainstream "professed" Christians that know nothing of the Bible and believe only what is spoon-fed to them in the fallen churches.
Contrary to your preferences (at least what I have picked up so far), there must be a standard for a religion, there must be some source of foundational statements and declarations for one to know what it is they are professing, and committing, to.
The Bible IS that source. It is very important that it have continuity in its teachings and that it is verifiable within itself or the entire document is thrown into question. If a verse is altered, or removed, it effects the rest of the passages that refer to that concept. That is a built-in safety mechanism that God installed in its contents. Modern versions of Scripture are all over the place because the verses that have been altered do not jibe with the weight of their own Scripture as a whole.
Most will never detect this because most do not read their Bible.
So, .... it matters.

The thread you're posting in... The one that says, "It [this site] is doomed to HELLFIRE!"... I digress.
So you think Christian forums are becoming desolate of true believers by extension? There are fewer true believers in the churches, therefore, there are fewer true believers on online forums?
How many true believers throughout history had access to a bible?

Oh. Ok.So you think Christian forums are becoming desolate of true believers by extension? There are fewer true believers in the churches, therefore, there are fewer true believers on online forums?
No. There are fewer believers in the churches, most would not debate. There are fewer believers in the online forums because I have empirically observed it for myself. The forums are owned, run by and populated with Atheists, Satanists, Jews, etc. They attack, ridicule, marginalize and ban all True Christian Believers from the sites.
That's a pretty effective cause for the forums to be without many, if any, Truly Faith-filled Christians. How many true believers throughout history had access to a bible?
Ya know, I really couldn't put a number on that.
Care to speculate?

Are you suggesting that Athanasius is an atheist, a satanist, or a Jew? Good heavens what a catastrophe that would be.

Wouldn't dream of it.

That seems to be the 'by extension', but with a nice little insulating set-up at the end. Atheists, Satanists, Jews. In the words of Own Wilson -- 'wow' (in your head in his voice for effect).
You're right, and I don't think anyone would dispute the unfortunate reality of declining church membership in the West. However, I don't think that translates to fewer online believers, as online spaces are very much accessible to believers in the non-Western world, which is where Christianity is exploding. That's an interesting one, as those believers don't have an extensive Christian history, so they often repeat the debates and questions of the 1st through 4th centuries. It's a unique challenge to missions, particularly the separation that needs to be drawn between culture-as-religion and Christian orthodoxy (and orthopraxy!).
Ya know, I really couldn't put a number on that.
It is likely the majority of believers prior to the 19th century (18th?), so it's okay, given how large the number is. Maybe if we expressed it as a percentage rounded to a whole number, then it might be like, 98% of all believers.

I mean, could you imagine a non-practising Jew adopting atheistic Satanism? We'd end up with what, Epicureanism the oddly long way 'round?
Well, I know which direction Titus would go, but sshhhh, spoilers!

How did I know you were a Jew?
Isn't that the darnedest thing.
Just shooting from the hip: Do you believe Christ is God?

Of course, Christ is God. Do you think a Jewish believer is going to call themselves Athanasius? A man who, along with the Cappadocian Fathers, set forth the doctrine of the Trinity? That would be most curious!
Fenris will laugh when he reads this, oh my (You know that one, George Takei?). No, no, I'm not a Jew or Jewish. I'm also not an atheist, a Satanist, or an Epicurean. Before you get ahead of yourself.
Here's an older banger of a Christian song you might like.

Of course, Christ is God.
Good to know.
There is an epic trend sweeping Christendom, or maybe just online discussion boards, that claims Christ is not God. Some Forums will ban you if you try to prove otherwise.

I think that of all people, Athanasius would affirm the deity of Christ.

Careful, that's a trick phrase.
Double entendre.
Affirm it in which way?

Since he and we are talking about Athanasius, it would be in the way that Athanasius did, without the 'i'.
