Title: Merry Christmas!
Post by: Fenris on December 24, 2021, 10:01:22 AM
Merry Christmas to my dear Bibleforums friends.

May all of you enjoy this season with blessings of love and joy.

May the Lord bless you and watch over you. May the Lord cause His countenance to shine to you and favor you. May the Lord raise His countenance toward you and grant you peace.

Thank you, Fenris!

Shalom!

(Is Diktator B. Lousy-o letting any Chinese restaurants open tomorrow or is he expanding his anti-Semitism to include starving the Jewish constituency on Christmas?)
😱

It being the Sabbath, I'll be eating at home anyway.  :)

He is our present and future hope. He is our comforter and confidant and He is who we wish to please and have pleased with us.

The world will be as the world is. Through trials and tribulations we can pray, hope and have peace for He is with us and for us.

Look to Him and not the world and don't worry. God is great and as the song says

Because he lives I can face tomorrow
Because he lives all fear is gone
Because I know he holds the future
And life is worth the living just because he lives

Yes, *spiritually* thrive--but I'm not a Faith Doctrine person. We take a lot of hits--a   *lot* of hits!

Jesus is alive, it's a great Christmas. Some Pauline perspective, or something. ;)

Sorry, I'm not getting that? But I agree, it's a great Christmas even though American politics is "on fire," and we're snowed in here in the NW. Even though my daughter won't talk to me, and 50 things are going wrong, still it's a great Christmas! ;)

And that's because this Christmas some good things are happening as well, and the bad things happening will eventually get resolved. And that's because Christ came with the hope that everything's going to change for the better.

Happy New Year brother!

Happy New Year brother!

I was referring to 2 Corinthians 4:

16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.
17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.
18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."

The UK is a political mess.
My parents barely talk to me.
My brother is dying.
I don't know if I'll be married in 5 years.
I don't know if I've made decisions that are soteriologically significant.

Light and momentary, geez Paul... and yet...

If that wasn't so serious I might feel better. Hope things get better for you soon. Yes, I think you have your salvation down, which is what really matters.
