Yes
-
Where?
-
Who?
-
What?
-
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahha!
Adam & Eve.
-
Catch up, Q.
This is the 21st century.
Don't you mean Adam and Steve?
-
OLD one,, RN...
-
So are you like, arguing against the resurrection of the dead entirely?
-
NO! Against the dogma of the 'immortal soul'.
Your answer?
-
What is an "immortal soul"?
As opposed to a "mortal soul"?
What is, in your world, a "soul?"
-
NO! Against the dogma of the 'immortal soul'.
Oh, so you'd argue that they're temporarily dead but will be alive in the future?
Your answer?
What's the question? Do I think Adam and Eve are alive? For sure. God is the God of the living, after all.
-
Then WHERE ARE THEY?
-
Then WHERE ARE THEY?
Are you arguing that they couldn't possibly be alive because I don't know their exact spatial coordinates? They're wherever it is that people in Christ who die go.
Or maybe they've gone for a long, long sleep. Does it matter? Seems like a fairly secondary issue of theology to me.
-
My, my.
God said that Adam was a living soul, but YOU say one was PUT INTO him.
And that is " a fairly secondary issue of theology" with you?
-

You're funny. It seems you've confused two separate questions: (1) the nature of the soul and (2) the 'resting' place of the saved prior to Christ's return. I don't recall saying that God put a living soul in Adam. Where did you read that?
The question of the ultimate destination of the believer prior to the ressurection is a secondary issue, yes. No one's salvation is in jeopardy if they think those who die in Christ go for a long nap or they return to God (or similar). There's certainly a question of a view that's right while all others are wrong, but nothing soteriologically significant.
Pointlessly arguing over where Adam and Eve are, if they're alive, is kind of boring. It strikes me as a means of avoiding the eschatological failures of the JWs 19th-century leadership and prophetic utterances regarding the return of Jesus. What are your thoughts on those, particularly 1799, 1879, 1914? Where exactly does your expertise lie?
-
It goes back to the very beginning.
But, I know you'd prefer to skip about your scriptural references WITHOUT starting out with God stated he was a living soul....

It goes back to the very beginning.
And...?
But, I know you'd prefer to skip about your scriptural references WITHOUT starting out with God stated he was a living soul....
Why would I start out with anything when it's unclear what you're trying to argue?
-
Just like a Clergy....
-
Oooo, witty, that one is...
-
Fact
-
Fact
I mean it was true at some point in the past, but not at present. See, I showed up with new glasses one day, and they didn't want me anymore.
But it is a fact that it's unclear what you're looking for, so I have no idea where I'd start. I already told you what I thought about Adam and Eve, and now I've dragged you into a discussion about the JW's failed prophetic utterances, I mean, a secondary issue of soteriology that you would like to make primary.
Thus, placing a burden on others where no burden should be.
-
Still a FACT.
-
What's a fact? Actually, what's 'a Clergy'? Don't tell me the JWs are throwing a an a article a in a front a of a everything a now?
-
Heh!
Deflection.
-
Heh!
Deflection.
I learned that trick from the Watchtower. :)
-
I bet you did...
-
I bet you did...
I did, although from less belligerent JWs than you, if you're even a JW.
-
Since you 'don't know' where Adam and Eve's 'immortal souls' are, could he hazard a guess?
Heaven, 'Hell', or some other place?
According to you, God didn't know any better.
Or changed Their minds.

Remember when I said the following? Might be worth reminding yourself:
They're wherever it is that people in Christ who die go.
Or maybe they've gone for a long, long sleep. Does it matter? Seems like a fairly secondary issue of theology to me.
-
Evasion.
The Clergy is alive in that one!
-
Evasion.
The Clergy is alive in that one!
When I reply with:
"They're wherever it is that people in Christ who die go."
That's when you say something like:
Aha, no, clearly they're dead in the ground!
Or
Aha, no, clearly they're before the throne of God!
But no, you toss an ad hominem instead.
So, where do you think they are?
-
"You toss an ad hominem"
In other words a simple question?
-
"You toss an ad hominem"
In other words a simple question?
Tip:
! is an exclamation mark. You use this for emphasis.
? is a question mark. You use it when asking a question.
Question: is the following statement a statement or question?
"The Clergy is alive in that one!"
Answer correctly and Joseph Smith's spectacles could be yours.
-
He adding questions to his questions!
What a Masterful Deceiver!

What a Masterful Deceiver!
You remind me of a guy named Ikester, except he wasn't a JW. Have you ever thought of being an Ikester yourself?
-
More spuddle...
-
More spuddle...
Ikester was conspiratorial, except concerning evolutionary theory. You seem conspiratorial about the clergy and the church. Maybe you're like, the theological equivalent of his evolutionary concerns? Not just anti-Trinitarian, but a conspiracy theorist.
Churchoids instead of sheep, except, well, have you considered the word churchoid? This would be something resembling a church. Do you think they resemble a physical building, or the people of God?
-
He thePastor- where do you believe the 'immortal souls' have been for all these thousands of years!
-
Closing.
