Weak in faith
« on: August 31, 2023, 12:26:34 PM »
Hello to all just joined the Forum trying to rebuild my faith; but it so weak til last night it has been a while since I have been to church.  The Pastor there was kind enough to pray for me asking God to answer this need for me today but just so weak in faith having problems believing for anything good.  Really having a great problem understanding Romans 8:32!

If you are a believer, read 1 John 4.

You need to realize that Jesus loves you completely and without reservation, regardless of your actions.  If you don't believe that, then you are unknowingly trying to earn your salvation.  You are mistakenly thinking that if you are good, then Jesus will love you more.

He can't love you more.  He loves you already with a perfect love.
Danger, Will Robinson.  You will be assimilated, confiscated, folded, mutilated, and spindled. Do not pass go.  Turn right on red. Third star to the right and full speed 'til morning.

What Rabbiknife said. Like to add, you quote Rom 8:32, but what about context? To begin at verse 18. It speaks of sufferings and groaning and call for patience with the promise of 8:32.

Or as it often is said, God did not promise us a calm journey, but a safe arrival.
